India, U.S. to sign Industrial Security Agreement

The Second 2+2 Dialogue is expected to be held on 18th December in Washington, D.C, where the two nations are expected to sign the Industrial Security Annex (ISA), which is a part of the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) making the way for major defense firms from the U.S to partner with Indian private defense companies. Signing the ISA will allow the USA to share high-end technology and classified information with India.

During the event, the two countries are also expected to review the steps being taken to operationalize the Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA).

2nd Dialogue is likely to be held involving Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar along with their American counterparts Mark Esper and Mike Pompeo.
The inaugural edition of the 2+2 dialogue was held in New Delhi last year in September.
