NCC celebrated 71st Raising Day

Youth wing of Armed Forces, The National Cadet Corps (NCC) celebrated its 71st Raising Day on Sunday, 24th November 2019. The world’s largest uniform youth organization was celebrated all over the country with cadets participating in drill parade, cultural activities, and social development programs. The NCC cadets also are known as the country’s second line of defense have contributed immensely to various relief operations across the country.

This year, the NCC Boy cadets successfully summited Mount Hanumar Tibba (5,982 meters) in Himachal Pradesh and NCC girl cadets successfully summited Mount Tenchenkhang (6,010 meters) in Sikkim.

NCC was formed in the year 1948 under The National Cadet Corps Act 1948. Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra is the current Director-General of NCC.
