ISRO set to launch Cartosat-3

Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO will launch it’s 3rd generation mapping and earth imaging satellite ‘Cartosat-3’ along with 13 commercial United States of America nanosatellites at 09:28 a.m IST, on November 27, 2019.
The satellites will be launched into the Sun Synchronous Orbit by India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C47 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

Cartosat-3, with a launch mass of 1,625 kg (3,583 lb) is developed as a third-generation advanced satellite with high-resolution imaging capability, will be used for cartography or army defence, weather mapping and for strategic applications.CARTOSAT-3 mission life would be for five years.

The launch vehicle mission will be the 74th from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The launch vehicle PSLV-C47 will mark the 21st flight of PSLV in the ‘XL’ configuration.

13 nanosatellites of the United States of America is a part of the commercial arrangement with New Space India Limited (NSIL) under the Department of Space.
