Harsh Vardhan launches mobile lab for COVID-19 testing

The Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan launched a mobile laboratory called I-lab or Infectious Disease Diagnostics Lab for COVID-19 testing, which can be deployed in rural areas and enable last-mile testing. The lab can run 50 RT-PCR and about 200 ELISA (enzyme-linked immunoassay) tests in a day. The double set of machines can increase the testing capacity to about 500 tests per day in 8 hours shift.
