Andhra Environment Management Corporation launched

The Andhra Environment Management Corporation has been launched with the aim of collection, segregation and scientific disposal off industrial waste to mark the World Environment Day on June 5.

With industrial waste emerging as a potent form of environmental pollution, the state government has pledged that the new corporation will ensure that industries follow all the protocols.

About World Environment Day

The World Environment Day is observed annually on June 5 since 1974. This year it is being hosted by Colombia. It is the most renowned day for environmental action and seeks to engage governments, businesses, celebrities and citizens alike, to focus their efforts on the environment. This year, the theme is Biodiversity.
