The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (formerly UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research) Saifai, Etawah (established by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh under Act,15 of 2016) has invited applications for the posts of Medical Superintendent and Faculty positions (Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor) in the following departments:

Qualifications & Teaching/Research Experience In All The Subjects Of Broad Specialities

A Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfil the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act. aforesaid).

A MCI recognised postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./M.S./M.D.S. or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

BROAD SPECIALITIES
Professor

Associate Professor in the subject for 3 years in a permitted/approved/recognized medical college/institution with 4 Research Publications in Indexed Journal on Cumulative basis with minimum of 2 Research Publication during the tenure of Associate Professor as Ist Author or as corresponding author (As per MCI Amendment notification dated 05 June 2017- No. MCI- 12 (1)/ 2017- Med. Misc/ 115698- Published in The Gazette of India- Extraordinary- Part III- Section 4, Dated June 8, 2017) and total teaching experience of 14 years after MD/MS/MDS in permitted/approved/recognized medical college/institution.

Associate Professor

As Assistant Professor in the subject for 4 years in a permitted/approved/recognized medical college/institution with 2 Research Publication in Indexed Journals as Ist Author or as corresponding author. (As per MCI Amendment notification dated 05 June 2017- No. MCI- 12 (1)/ 2017- Med. Misc/ 115698- Published in The Gazette of India- Extraordinary- Part III- Section 4, Dated June 8, 2017) and total teaching experience of 6 years after MD/MS in permitted/approved/recognized medical college/institution.

Assistant Professor

3 years as Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college. (As per MCI Amendment notification dated 05 June 2017- No. MCI- 12 (1)/ 2017- Med. Misc/ 115698- Published in The Gazette of India- Extraordinary- Part III- Section 4, Dated June 8, 2017) and total teaching experience of 3 years after MD/MS in permitted/approved/recognized medical college/institution.

SUPER SPECIALITIES

For D.M./M.Ch. 02 years duration:-

  • For Professor, 12 years (As Associate Professor in the subject for three years with 04 research publications as a Ist Author or as corresponding author in indexed/national journals as per MCI).
  • 2- for Associate Professor, 04 years (As Assistant Professor in concern subject for three years with 02 research publications as a Ist Author or as corresponding author in indexed/national journals as per MCI).
  • 3- For Assistant Professor, 01 year of teaching experience after obtaining the degree of D.M./M.Ch. in the concerned specialty at a permitted/approved/recognized teaching Institution.

OR For D.M./M.Ch. 03 years duration:

  • For Professor, 11 year (As Associate Professor in the subject for three years with 04 research publications as a I st Author or as corresponding author in indexed/national journals as per MCI).
  • 2-For Associate Professor, 03 years (As Assistant Professor in concerned subject for three years with 02 research publications as a I st Author or as corresponding author in indexed/national journals as per MCI).
  • 3-For Assistant Professor, person possessing D.M./M.Ch. Degree in the respective specialty at a recognized teaching Institution.

*Note:For CVTS (Anesthesia) candidates possessing D.M. (CVTS Anesthesia)/ PDCC (CVTS Anesthesia)/ M.D. (Anesthesia) can apply (The preference will be given to D.M. (CVTS Anesthesia) over PDCC (CVTS Anesthesia) over M.D. (Anesthesia). Further candidates possessing PDCC (CVTS Anesthesia)/ M.D. (Anesthesia) will not be entitled for Rural Super Specialty Allowance).

For Medical Superintendent

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfil the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act. aforesaid).
  • Recognised MBBS Degree.
  • A recognised postgraduate qualification (M.D/ M.S or equivalent)
  • Ten years of Administrative experience in at least 500 bedded hospital attached to MCI recognised Medical Colleges/Institutes (and a total experience of fourteen years after MD/ MS in MCI recognised Medical Colleges/Institutes)

Download application form from University website and filled form along with relevant documents and Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (for Unreserved/OBC Category) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST Category) in the favour of “Finance Officer, UPUMS, Payable at Saifai should be sent by Speed/Registered post to the University address.
