Who was the first chairman of National Human Rights Commission?

Justice Ranganath Misra (November 25, 1926 – September 13, 2012) served as 21st Chief Justice of India between September 25, 1990 to November 24, 1991. He was the first chairman of the National Human Rights Commission. He was also nominated to the Rajya Sabha in the early 1990s during the Congress government in centre.
