Who is regarded as a reasonable and prudent man?

A reasonable man is generally a cool and collected person and remembers to take precaution for his or her own safety in an emergency. The standard of foresight of the reasonable man eliminates the personal equation and is independent of the idiosyncrasies. The reasonable man is presumed to be free both from over—apprehension and from over-confidence. Thus a reasonable man is neither extraordinarily bold nor very coward. He is neither extraordinarily intelligent nor a simpleton. He is just an ordinary common man.
