Who is Father of Humanism?

Petrarch (1304-1374) was an Italian poet and Scholar. He is often called the ‘Father of Humanism’. During his student life, he was highly influenced by the Latin style and its form. Beside his home, Florence, he was also intellectually inclined towards Europe. He enjoyed the patronage of Pope Clement-VI, Emperor Charles-IV, the King of Naples, and many others. He also found copies of some of Cicero’s orations that had been lost.
