What is Land Breeze? How it is formed?

A diurnal wind blowing from the land towards sea, because of the differential cooling of land and sea is known as Land Breeze. The cooling of the air over the land by radiation during the night directs the air to descend and flow seawards. Land Breeze

It is confined to coastal regions and lake sides, and, though characteristic of tropical lands, may be seen in the temperate zone during the summer.
