What is Alpine Glow in Geography?

Alpine means belonging to· the Alps. The alpine climate is a typical climate, relief, flora, etc., of the regions. Alpine Glow is a short-lived pinkish tint on mountain peaks, visible just after sunset and just before sunrise. The glow begins when the sun is about 2° above the horizon, and it is most apparent when there are clouds in the sky. The illumination stops when the mountains pass into showdown (evening) or full light (morning). The colors in the morning have a purplish tint, and in evening an orange tint.
