The seven cities of Delhi

The successive dynasties respectively constructed new capitals in the greater Delhi area, which would be called the seven cities of Delhi. These seven cities are:

  • Quila Rai Pithora (Lalkot Fort)
  • Mehrauli
  • Siri
  • Tughlakabad
  • Firozabad
  • Shergarh
  • Shahjehabanad
