SHADE

Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defence Systems and Bharat Dynamics Limited are collaborating to jointly install an anti-torpedo defence system called SHADE for the Indian Navy. This defence system will be first of its kind to use soft kill and hard kill decoys to provide security against modern torpedoes. The MoU was signed for this project by the two firms in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during Aero India 2021.
