Mary Carpenter

Mary Carpenter was an English educational and social reformer, who came to India in 1866 to meet Raja Rammohun Roy, this was her long cherished desire. But in India, she met Keshab Chandra Sen, the leader of Brahmo Samaj, who asked her to form an organization in Britain to improve communication between British and Indian reformers. In 1870 she established National Indian Association.
