Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji is Japan’s highest mountain in Japan with a height above 12,000 ft. In June 2013, it has been included as a UNESCO World Heritage site as a “cultural” rather than a “natural” heritage site. The mountain is exceptionally symmetrical supervolcano which last erupted in 1707-08. Located 100 kilometers from Tokyo and is one of the well known symbols of Japan, depicted frequently in Japan related travel promotions.
