Learning Passport

UNICEF and Microsoft launched a rapidly expanded version of Learning Passport to enable children across the world to continue their education despite the lockdown.

About the Platform

The Learning Passport was originally designed to provide education via digital remote learning platform for children who were either displaced or refugees. It has now been rapidly expanded to educate children around the world based on country-level curriculum and provide resources to teachers and parents.

Functioning

The Learning Passport can be used by any country that has a curriculum capable of being taught online. The content provided through it includes books, videos, support material for parents of children with learning disabilities, etc. The content is to be curated at national level and to be made available in national languages.

Generation Unlimited

The Learning Passport platform is a part of the Generation Unlimited Global Breakthrough on Remote Learning and Work that aims to address challenges faced by education providers, facilitators, learners, etc. in humanitarian context using technology. Generation Unlimited is a multi-sectoral partnership at global level to meet the needs of education, training and employment of younger generations.
