INSACOG

INSACOG or Indian SARS CoV 2 Consortium on Genomics is a consortium of 10 national laboratories established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2020. Its function is to undertake genomic sequencing of the SARS CoV 2 and analyse the circulating genomic variants. The consortium has detected 771 variants of concern- including the variants from UK, Brazil and South Africa- since it started operations.
