China and Pakistan participate in Shaheen (Eagle)-4 joint air exercise

China and its strategic partner Pakistan have launched a joint air exercise called Shaheen (Eagle)-4 in China. It is fourth edition of air exercise between the air forces of both countries which was launched as part of a series of military exchange programmes between two countries.

Sixth Indo-Maldives Joint Training Exercise was held in Kerala

The sixth Indo-Maldives joint Training Exercise, KUVERIN 2015 was held at Pangode Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala.

AUSINDEX15 held off coast Vizag

The first bilateral maritime exercise “AUSINDEX15” was  conducted between Australia and India. In it, the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) consists of HMAS Sirius (fleet tanker), HMAS Arunta (Anzac class frigate) and one submarine HMAS Sheean (Collins class submarine) while Indian Navy represented by INS Shivalik (stealth frigate), INS Ranvijay (guided missile destroyer) and INS Shakti (fleet tanker).

We note here that INS Ranvijay is one of the Rajput-class guided-missile destroyers of Indian Navy. It is in service since 1987.In recent years, it has taken part into several war games and exercises.

Amogha-I successfully tested

Amogha-1 is the name of India’s indigenously-developed second generation Anti-Tank Guided Missile. It has a range of 2.8 kilometres. This is the first-ever design and developmental effort in respect of missiles by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hyderabad. It was successfully test fired at Babina Army Range, Madhya Pradesh.

Government approves Integrated Air Command & Control System (IACCS) project

Union Government has given its approval for implementation of Integrated Air Command & Control System (IACCS) project of Indian Air force (IAF) with allocation of 8,000-crore rupees.

India Sri Lanka participate in MITRA SHAKTI 2015

India-Sri Lanka joint military exercise MITRA SHAKTI 2015 has begun at Aundh Military Station in Pune, Maharashtra. It is third edition of the joint training exercise between both countries that seeks to build Military to Military co-operation and interoperability.

Indian Navy Commissions INS Kochi

Indian Navy has commissioned INS Kochi, a Kolkata-class Guided Missile Destroyer in its contingent to showcase India’s indigenous efforts in the field of underwater warfare. It is a second ship of the total three ships fleet of Kolkata-class Guided Missile Destroyer to be inducted.
