General Studies Paper – II

Time Allowed : Three Hours

Maximum Marks : 300

Each Question is printed both in Hindi and in
English.

Answer must be written in the Medium specified in the Admission Certificate
issued to you, Which must be stated clearly on the cover of the answer-book in
the space provided for the purpose. No marks will be given for the answers
written in a medium other than that specified in the Admission Certificate.

Candidates Should attempt all Question strictly in accordance with the
instructions given under each question.

The number of Marks carried by each question is indicated at the end of the
question.

(a) The average rainfall of a certain place for Monday to Saturday is 15 inches.
Due to heavy rainfall on Sunday, the average rainfall of the week rose to 25
inches. How much rainfall was there on Sunday?
(b) The following are the info pertaining to employees of a factory :

and Rs. 10 crore to establish Co. B. The average profits earned from both the
companies are the same. Which of the 2 companies is better from profit earning
point view? Justify your answer.
