The US CDC (Centre for Disease Control and Prevention) recommended that the N95 masks be used by health workers who have cough or cold. The masks are said to be ineffective for the general public members who are healthy. The masks are mainly intended for keeping the infectious particles from getting out than in.

  • CDC’s Advice:

The CDC advised that it’s not recommended that healthy people wear a mask to protect themselves from COVID-19. The CDC also advised frequent washing of hands (with water and soap for 20 seconds), use of alcohol based hand sanitizers and basic hygiene.
