COMFONET

COMFONET is a scheme of Computerization and Computer Networking of Consumer Forums all over India. The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 provides for a quasi-judicial machinery called Consumer Forums at the district level and Consumer Dispute Redressal Commissions at the State and National Level. COMFONET basically provides computerisation and networking of these bodies.

COMFONET provides services for wide range of users including customers, Consumer activists and NGOs, Members of Consumer Courts, Bar Councils and Advocates.

The key services provided by COMFONET include Information on Consumer Rights and Protection; Online Cause Lists; Online Judgments; Online Case Status and Case History and various statistical reports on consumer related subjects.
