ChREBP Gene

ChREBP gene refers to as Carbohydrate Response Element Binding Protein gene. This gene is alternatively called MLXIPL gene, which is known for its interaction with carbohydrate response element sequences of DNA. This gene is at present being researched for protection against diabetes. The scientists say that ChREBP — resists type 2 diabetes by converting glucose sugar into fatty acids and boosting sensitivity to insulin, which regulates the blood sugar.
