Yamaha working on New Scooter Project for Indian Market

The Indian Market will soon get beyond the Fascino and Ray scooter brands.  This was said by Motofumi Shitara, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group. He mentioned that there is development going on in Japan. The intention of the company is to expand the market in the premium segment.

Although the company showed dismal results in previous years it is still hopeful in India. The strategy is to expand the market and committed to the premium space. The premium model of scooters is being developed in Japan in a bid to introduce a new product and increase the customer base.

The Company announced that it will launch products complying with new Bharat Stage-VI emission norms. At present Fascino is the fashion statement in the scooter space. The company is ready to set on the BS-VI era in terms of both scooters and motorbikes. The Chairman is confident that the company will excel with the new products.
