WADA bans Russia for 4 years from all Global Sporting Events

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned Russia from participation in global sporting events for four years that will include the Tokyo Olympics, the Beijing Winter Games 2022 and the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup. Russia’s Anti Doping Agency (Rusada) was accused of falsifying laboratory doping data in January this year, the WADA executive committee in a meeting on Monday, 9th December 2019 at Lausanne, Switzerland made a unanimous decision on four-year suspension over manipulated doping data.
Russia has been banned from competing as a nation in all global athletics events since 2015, 168 Russian athletes competed under a neutral flag during the Winter Olympics 2018.
Russian athletes can still participate in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics under the neutral flag, subject to clearance of doping charges against the athletes.
Russia as the host nation will be able to compete at Euro 2020.
