‘Vistara' is the name of Tata-SIA airline, operations to begin from October 2014
‘Vistara’ has been announced as the brand name of the Tata-SIA joint venture Airlines. Vistara is derived from the Sanskrit word, which means ‘limitless expanse’.
The airline by the Tata Group and Singapore International Airlines is targeting to start its operations in October 2014. The launch of operations is subject to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA) approval, which is examining the airline’s application for an air operator’s permit.
