UPSC Prelims Results 2015 Out

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2015 on 12 October 2015.
Candidates shortlisted in the Prelims Examination are eligible to appear for Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2015 to be held from 18th December, 2015.

Background of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2015

  • This year the Civil Services preliminary exam was attempted by almost 4.56 lakh candidates.
  • The exam was bifurcated into two parts: Part I (General Studies) and Paper II (CSAT). Each paper carried 200 marks. However, CSAT paper i.e. Paper II was only qualifying in nature and one needs to only get 33 percent.
  • This year General Studies (GS) paper i.e. Paper 1, showed diversity in the questions.
  • Section-wise division of the questions: Geography-17, Environment-6, History-13, Art & Culture-4, Politics-12, Government Schemes-6, Economics-10, Science & Technology-8, Current Affairs-16 and International Organisations-8.

    mine score was 107.34 and i am there for mains..
