The Bangladesh team beat India to win the ICC U19 title. Bangladesh won the title for the first time in its history. The tournament was held in South Africa between January 17, 2020 and February 9, 2020.
History
The first U19 world cup was held in 1998. Since then the ICC U19 tournament has been held as a biennial event. India has so far won the tournament four times.
ICC
The International Cricket council is the governing body of cricket. IT was founded in 1909 by the representatives from England, Australia and South Africa. The organization conducts Cricket world Cup and ICC T20 World Cup. The umpires for the matches are appointed by ICC. It also sets standards for international cricket.
The ICC also coordinates against match-fixing and corruption. It does not control the fixtures of test matches
