The European Union leaders signed an agreement with Ukraine, forging closer economic and political ties, as the crisis with Russia continues. The EU Association Agreement with Ukraine is designed to give the country’s interim leadership under PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk economic and political support.
Key elements of the pact: to foster core reforms and economic growth, co-operation in energy and environment protection, sustainable development, to enhance foreign and security policy, respect for human rights, etc.
