Turkey warned the US for S400 missile deal with Russia

The US sees the S400 missile systems as a threat to the US. The Vice President made a statement that being an ally of the NATO, Turkey has to make wise decisions. Turkey has recently been making closer deals with Russia after the sour ties with the US and the Europe. It is important here to mention that Turkey has the second largest army in the NATO.

The NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation among 29 American and European countries. It was signed in 1949. According to the treaty the members agree for a mutual defence in response to the external attack.

The US also informed earlier that if the deal of S400 purchase is ON then Turkey will have to face sanctions. Especially the sanctions will be on operating the F 35 fighter jets.

The Turkey President claims that it has turned to Russia as it could not buy the Patriot missiles from Turkey.
