Tata Steel develops new anti-ballistic steel Super Bainite

Tata Steel’s Port Talbot plant in the UK has developed a new kind of anti-ballistic steel named Super Bainite which could transform safety of soldiers and security forces fighting terrorists and extremists.

Super Bainite is lightweight, super-strength anti-ballistic steel which can be used to armour-plate troop carriers and tanks.

The new kind of steel id being produced by a multi-million pounds project by  UK’s Ministry of Defence and the Tatas.
