Smacking ban in Wales a step closer

A ban to smack children in their back is a step closer. the Welsh government published a bill to remove reasonable punishment as a defence. If passed the children will have the same protection from physical punishments as the adults. However there are campaigns being conducted against it as it woulf criminalise ordinary parents. the bill is formed on the basis that if a parent rises his hand on his child it means that he has lost his control.
