Saina Nehwal won Syed Modi India Open-2014
Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal clinched the Syed Modi International India Grand Prix Gold badminton title by defeating her compatriot P.V. Sindhu in the women’s singles competition. Sania beat P.V. Sindhu 21-14, 21-17 in the final held at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is Sania’s third straight win over Sindhu.
About Syed Modi International India Open Grand Prix championship
Named after a famous Indian badminton player, (Syed Modi) and an eight-time National Badminton champion. After his death, a badminton tournament was constituted in his memory, Syed Modi Memorial and All India Syed Modi badminton championship hosted each year at Lucknow.
