Revenue from satellites launched by ISRO under commercial agreements
The Union Minister of State(Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region and Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions, and Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitedra Singh in a written reply to a question at Rajya Sabha on Thursday, 12th December 2019 informed that the India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched satellites from 26 countries during the last five years and shared the details of the amount of revenue generated thereby: In Financial year (FY) 2014-15- Rs 252.59 Crores, FY 2015-16- Rs 227.45 crores, FY 2016-17- Rs 208.37 crores, FY 2017-18- Rs 232.56 crores and in FY 2018-19 Rs 324.19 crores making a total of 1,245.17 crores in the last five years.
The Minister also informed that contracts with 10 countries namely: Germany, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Algeria, the Netherlands, and France has been signed during the last years under commercial agreements.
