Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana implemented
The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Rattan Lal Kataria in a written reply to the lower house of the parliament, Lok Sabha on Tuesday,10th December 2019 informed that the ‘Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana’ (RVY) has been implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana is a central sector scheme for the senior citizens, belonging to BPL categories and are suffering from age-related disabilities, and with such physical aids and assisted living devices will be provided aid and assistive devices.
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has also implemented ‘Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances(ADIP)’ scheme under which aid and assistive devices are distributed to the eligible divyangjan for their social, physical, psychological and economic empowerment.
