Prem Bahadur Resmi Magar posthumously conferred Kirti Chakra
President Pranab Mukherjee has posthumously conferred Kirti Chakra, the second highest peacetime gallantry award on Lance Havildar Prem Bahadur Resmi Magar of Gorkha Rifles. The late Lance Havildar had eliminated four terrorists during an operation in Jammu and Kashmir in June 2016. President also presented 13 Shaurya Chakras, of which four were posthumous and 45 Distinguished Service medals that included 15 Param Vishisht Seva Medals, 2 Uttam Yudh Seva Medals and 28 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals.
