PV Sindhu creates history by winning Bronze in World Badminton Championship

PV Sindhu created history as she won bronze medal in the World Badminton Championships
Although she lost in the semifinal to Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, she became the first Indian to win a women’s singles medal in the World Badminton Championship.
PV Sindhu holds both junior and senior national titles after the legendary Prakash Padukone
In past, Prakash Padukone had won the men’s singles bronze in 1983 at Copenhagen. Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa won another bronze in women’s doubles in the 2011 edition.
