Mass death of birds occurred due to avian botulism: Report

Mass death of migratory birds in Rajasthan’s Sambhar Lake occurred due to avian botulism. According to a report of Bareilly’s Indian Veterinary Research Institute, avian botulism is a disease which is caused by a bacteria that affects nerves. The death of migratory birds has been confirmed by the Indian Veterinary Research Institute of Bareilly.  The area reported the death of around 17,000 birds in the past few days.
