Kevin Rudd takes oath as new Australian Premier
Kevin Rudd has been sworn in as Prime Minister of Australia. He ousted the incumbent Julia Gillard as leader of the Labor Party. The leadership change comes ahead of an election scheduled in September 2013.
Julia Gillard was first woman PM of Australia and she was also the first woman Leader of the Labor Party.
Kevin Rudd is the new leader of the Labor Party and previously and was previously Prime Minister from 2007 to 2010, and Labor Leader from 2006 to 2010.
