About Open Defecation
Open Defecation is the process where people defecate in forests, open bodies of water, bushes or other open spaces. According to World Bank, more than 300 million Indians were still defecating in the open till 2017.
PM said 99% of rural India has become ODF. The concerns that stand in the way of eradicating the practice completely are lack of water and poor maintenance.
