ICFA presents ‘Global Agriculture Leadership Award 2016’ to Ratan Tata
Indian Council of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) has presented ‘Global Agriculture Leadership Award 2016‘ to the interim Chairman of Tata Sons Ratan Tata. According to ICFA, ‘Lifetime Achievements Award 2016’ has been conferred to Tata for transforming Tata Group as the globally admired group during his tenure as Chairman for a period of two decades.
ICFA is an autonomous body with a mandate for policy, research and advocacy pertaining to issues related to food and agriculture sector. ICAR is the body responsible for coordinating agricultural education and research in India. It is under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture. The Union Minister of Agriculture is the president of ICAR.
