Govt of Goa starts “Ladli Laxmi Scheme”
Govt of Goa started Ladli Laxmi Scheme initiated by Women and Child Welfare department. The scheme is aimed preventing female feticide in the state.
The scheme:
- Girls who are 18 years and above would be provided with Rs. 1 Lakh for their marriage. This scheme is for those girls who lie between the age group of 18-40 years.
- Scheme only for girls whose parents are living in Goa for the last 25 years. Besides, the girl should have been born and brought up in the state.
