Gatineau taxi drivers to strike

The Gatineau Taxi Drivers of Canada are to strike on Monday against the reforms o be introduced. If the Bill 17 is passed it will deregulate the industry largely. It would abolish taxi permits, territorial restrictions. Only a single set of instructions would be imposed on all operators. The taxi industry thinks that this will force bankruptcy on owners, compromise revenue for drivers and will worsen customer service
