Emmy Awards ceremony to be held online due to pandemic
Published: July 30, 2020
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be held virtually this year due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation. This comes after the nominations have been announced for the prestigious awards for this year.
The ceremony, which was to be held at Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, will now be shot from the homes of the actors across the USA. The online ceremony will be held on September 20. The Emmy executive producers have already sent the communication to all the nominees so that they can remain prepared to participate in the ceremony from their homes. The decision has been taken in light of the prevailing situation in the world as it is not safe to arrange an assembly of so many people. The nominees have been given the liberty to choose the attires as per their own choice for the ceremony.
