Emma Watson: UN Women Goodwill Ambassador

Famous British actress, Emma Watson, has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of UN Women – the United Nation’s organization devoted to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Widely known for her role as Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series, the distinguished actress, humanitarian, and recent graduate of Ivy League institution Brown University, will dedicate her efforts as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador towards the empowerment of young women and will serve as an advocate for UN Women’s HeForShe campaign in promoting gender equality.
“HeForShe Campaign”
HeForShe is a UN Women’s solidarity campaign which calls upon the masculine gender to stand up against the inequalities faced by women and girls globally. The movement bolsters the support for women’s rights as human rights by enlisting the support of men and urging them to play the role of promoters of gender equality.
