Deven Sharma: Resigned

Jharkhand born Deven Sharma was an executive, and the president of Standard & Poor’s, a Division of The McGraw-Hill Companies. He had joined Standard & Poor’s in 2006 as executive vice president, Investment Service and Global Sales. On August 23, 2011 he resigned. He will leave the company in 2011. His successor is Douglas Peterson.

Deven Sharma is the Man who recently ‘Robbed’ US of its A. He was in the eye of a raging global economic storm, which he himself kicked when as president of Standard & Poor’s he endorsed the ratings agency’s decision to cut an A from the US’ debt rating AAA to make it AA+. The media tagged him as ‘most hated man in America’.
