CSIR and Nature India launched Nature India Essay Competition 2020
With an aim to provide a platform for sharing ideas on how societally-impactful science can advance and strengthen the country for young and experienced scientists, researchers and authors in India, The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Nature India have launched the Nature India essay competition 2020 on Thursday 9th January 2020.
The essay competition is open for the readers of the age group of 25 to 50 years that will provide them with an opportunity to draft a compelling narrative with emotion or personal anecdotes or a science-backed story that may become historic in shaping India’s scientific future.
Director-General of The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Dr. Shekhar C Mande, commented that the Nature India essay competition will provide a platform of opportunity for the scientists in the country for sharing their view & desire and to make people aware about the fruits of science that provide an advantage to the society.
A panel of editors, scientists and science communicators will judge the submitted essays for which the deadline to submit the essay is till midnight, on 9 March 2020. The top three winners will win a cash prize of Rs. 40,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 and a three-year subscription to Nature, trophies, and certificates.
