Anil Goswami is the new Home Secretary
Anil Goswami, a senior IAS officer from J&K cadre, has been appointed as the new Home Secretary and will have two-year tenure. He is the first bureaucrat from J&K cadre to be placed at the top ranked post. His name was cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
