‘Azadi se Antyodaya Tak’ Inter-ministerial Campaign

Giriraj Singh, India’s Rural Development Minister has launched the ‘Azadi se Antyodaya Tak,’ 90-day inter-ministerial campaign on 28th April 2022. This campaign has been launched keeping in line with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Overview:

Aim of the campaign

This campaign has been launched with the aim of saturating 75 Districts across 28 States and Union Territories of the nation with beneficiary schemes of nine central government ministries. The campaign aims to take up 17 select schemes and provide direct assistance to the beneficiaries in saturation mode, thus, reaching out even to those individuals who are at the bottom of the pyramid in rural areas by each of the participating departments.

Selection of the districts

The 75 selected districts are lagging behind in the development parameters and they have been shortlisted through the Monthly per Capita Indicators (MPCE) and Socio-Economic Caste Census data.
