As of March, 2015 India has 28 operational satellites which comprises 11 communication satellites, 12 earth observation satellites, four navigational satellites and one Mars orbiter mission are currently working nearly perfect and are much in place. Latest one is IRNSS-1D, that was launched on 29th march by ISRO.
