Aptitude Question ID : 94240

6200 Rs. divided into three parts proportional to \frac{1}{2} : \frac{1}{3} : \frac{1}{5} are respectively :
[A]2200 Rs., 3000 Rs., 1000 Rs.
[B]3000 Rs., 2000 Rs., 1200 Rs.
[C]3500 Rs., 1500 Rs., 1200 Rs.
[D]2500 Rs., 2000 Rs., 1700 Rs.

3000 Rs., 2000 Rs., 1200 Rs.
Ratio = \frac{1}{2} : \frac{1}{3} : \frac{1}{5}
= \frac{1}{2}\times 30 : \frac{1}{3}\times 30 : \frac{1}{5}\times 30
= 15 : 10 : 6
Sum of the ratios
= 15+10+6= 31
\therefore First Part = \frac{15}{31}\times 6200 = 3000Rs.
Second Part = \frac{10}{31}\times 6200 = 2000Rs.
Third Part = \frac{6}{31}\times 6200 = 1200Rs.
Hence option [B] is correct answer.
